Every person has a personal threshold for what they can handle coming at them from the world. If pushed past this threshold by events, we feel stressed, even overwhelmed, and physical problems.
and diseases is one way this stress can manifest. Some doctors believe 70-80% of all disease is stress-related.
If a person suffers some kind of trauma growing up, he or she will develop a threshold that is lower than it would have been without the trauma. People and events will be more likely to push that person past this “lower than normal” threshold. This results in a high stress level and many symptoms of stress, including health problems.
Dr. Giampapa did a “before and after” test of several important bio-markers, two of which in particular are related to stress: DHEA and Cortisol. Dr. Giampapa wanted to see if listening to soundtracks containing Holosync audio technology substantially changed the levels of these important stress-related hormones.
Here is a brief summary of what these important hormones do, why they’re important, and how they relate to stress.
Cortisol is a hormone naturally produced by your adrenal glands. According to Dr. Giampapa, Cortisol is the major stress-inducing hormone within the brain. It also interferes with learning and memory and is, in general, bad news for your health and your well-being. If you have high levels of Cortisol, you will feel stressed, and suffer the physical effects of that stress.
The second hormone, DHEA, is also produced by your adrenal glands. It is a precursor, or source ingredient, to virtually every hormone your body needs. Â DHEA levels are a key determinant of physiological age and resistance to stress and disease. When DHEA levels are low, you’re more susceptible to stress, aging and disease; when they’re high, the body is at its peak — vibrant, healthy, and able to combat stress and disease effectively.
DHEA acts as a buffer against stress-related hormones (such as Cortisol), which is why as you get older and make less DHEA you are more susceptible to stress and disease. If you make enough
DHEA, it can buffer the effects of Cortisol and therefore reduce your stress.
I strongly believe that MEDITATION is the best way to get rid of STRESS
